Thaïsa Olivia is a passionate jazz singer, composer and band leader with a warm, own sound and a special presentation. Thaïsa is a woman of the world. She was born in Amsterdam but now New York is her second home and can be found there regularly at the jazz stages. She pays tribute to the two places she can call home on earth: Amsterdam & New York.
With both beautiful songs from The Great American Songbook, as well as Dutch translations of these and her own work, Thaïsa shows her voice. From Cole Porter, Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, George Gershwin and Sondheim, to homegrown Emiel Wienholts and Ed Boekee.
From Amsterdam to New York
Thaïsa Olivia is een gepassioneerde jazz-zangeres, componist en bandleider met een warm, eigen geluid en een bijzondere presentatie. Thaïsa is een vrouw van de wereld. Ze is geboren in Amsterdam maar inmiddels is New York haar tweede thuis en is zij daar regelmatig op de jazzpodia te vinden. Ze brengt een ode aan de twee plekken, die zij op aarde thuis kan noemen: Amsterdam & New York.
