On Saturday, July 13, 1985, the legendary live Aid took place, an international benefit concert that lasted no less than 16 hours. The event took place simultaneously at two locations: the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, United States, and the Wembley Stadium in London, United Kingdom. Live Aid was broadcast directly in many countries and thus became one of the largest media spectacles that the world had ever seen.
40 years later, a musical ode is brought to the legendary concert in Tribute To the Music of Live Aid. We make a journey back to the 80s with the biggest hits from, among others, David Bowie, Sting, U2, Simple Minds, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Spandau Ballet, Phil Collins and of course Queen will not be missing! The tribute show with special guest Bert Heerink (Vandenberg, Kayak, Jan Akkerman) is performed by carefully selected professional top musicians. Fascinating stories and backgrounds, funny anecdotes and own experiences, but above all a lot of music. Everyone has their own feelings, experience and experience with the iconic concert.
Full of passion and enthusiasm, the biggest hits are brought from artists and bands that have also played on live Aid. Timeless classics, legendary sing -alongs and guilty pleasures. From small and intimate enjoyment of singing and piano to singing along and dancing with the entire band.
Tijdloze klassiekers en legendarische meezingers
Op zaterdag 13 juli 1985 vond het legendarische Live Aid plaats, een internationaal benefietconcert dat maar liefst 16 uur duurde. Het evenement vond gelijktijdig plaats op twee locaties: het JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, Verenigde Staten, en het Wembley Stadium in Londen, Verenigd Koninkrijk. Live Aid werd in veel landen rechtsreeks uitgezonden en werd daarmee een van de grootste mediaspektakels die de wereld ooit had gezien.
In Tribute To The Music Of Live Aid wordt er 40 jaar later een muzikale ode gebracht aan het legendarische concert. We maken een reis terug naar de jaren ’80 met de grootste hits van onder andere David Bowie, Sting, U2, Simple Minds, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Spandau Ballet, Phil Collins en natuurlijk zal ook Queen niet ontbreken! De tributeshow met special guest Bert Heerink (Vandenberg, Kayak, Jan Akkerman) wordt uitgevoerd door zorgvuldig geselecteerde professionele topmuzikanten. Boeiende verhalen en achtergronden, grappige anekdotes en eigen ervaringen, maar vooral veel muziek. Ieder heeft zijn eigen gevoel, ervaring en beleving bij het iconische concert.
