Happy Village is an intense and intimate trio featuring Rolf Delfos (tenor saxophone), Frank Montis (Hammond organ), and Pim Dros (drums). Small in instrumentation, grand in expression. By often playing whisper-softly, an impressive dynamic range is created, in which transparent compositions and free improvisation flow seamlessly together. A bowing saxophone, a warmly growling Hammond, and subtle brushstrokes ensure musical interaction at the highest level, with a deep-rooted swing. Born from the collaboration of Delfos and Montis, the listener feels like they have a front-row seat. With cinematic titles such as Oh Lord Thou Will Soffle and A Foggy Night, Happy Village takes the audience on a musical journey to the very last note.

Happy Village is een intens en intiem trio met Rolf Delfos (tenorsax), Frank Montis (Hammondorgel) en Pim Dros (drums). Klein in bezetting, groots in expressie. Door vaak fluisterzacht te spelen ontstaat een indrukwekkend dynamisch bereik, waarin transparante composities en vrije improvisatie naadloos samenvloeien. Een buigende sax, een warm grommende Hammond en subtiele brushklanken zorgen voor muzikale interactie op het hoogste niveau, met een diepgewortelde swing. Ontstaan uit de samenwerking van Delfos en Montis voelt de luisteraar zich op de eerste rij. Met filmische titels als Oh Lord Thou Will Soffle en A Foggy Night neemt Happy Village het publiek mee op een muzikale reis tot de laatste noot.
